Wood Lover's Weekend at Upper
Canada Village October 8 - 10, 2010
I have been invited to attend and display at the upper Canada Village
Wood Lover's weekend over Thanksgiving weekend this year. I will
be there on Oct. 9 & 10. If you are in the Morrisburg area at this
time, come on by!

2010 - Lupot Violin Copy Started
Using some very old spruce and maple which I've had sitting around for
awhile, I started a full size copy of a Lupot violin. Nicolas Lupot was
a highly respected and quality French maker who made in the style of
Stradivarius, so much so that by some he has been called ' The French
Stradivarius'. Click on the picture below for a look at the process.

2010 - Pear Wood Viola Complete
Maggini
Pearwood Viola is varnished and now playing! From the
pictures you can see the viola gradually darken to the final amber
colour. It is now set
up and playing and has a beautiful full rich sound. If you are
interested in trying it, do contact me and come by the workshop. For
